NICKS TRAIN PICS

THE DRONE MASTER AT WORK .
NICKS AT IT AGAIN AND THIS TIME HE'S GOING TO SHARE SOME OF HIS WORK

Some aerial shots taken by Nick . Of Werris Creek In August of this year ,So with the help of the drone        we get to see a lot of  the yard and building layouts from different angles not seen before .Even with the        large amount of pictures taken over the years of this place.Certainly a bonus for any one trying to model
      this area.
It was very early on the day .with no trains as per usual for me.With only a trio of locos fluffing around            the yard ,then moving down to be sanded  at the towers.
Also a couple of  silo shots at 2 locations which are on the road to the West of the Creek on the way to         Gunnedah.

  1. I left WCK end of 89, drove through the town in October last year, these images along with the drive through the town show a wonderful place to live and work at a very downgraded and in respect to the town depressing. Going through Quirindi was pretty much the same as with all the closed shops.

One can only hope that the Crawfords sidings which would be in the ploughed area behind Prestons siding may bring some sort of revival of sorts to a town in real need of jobs.

Looking at Breeza silo it appears to still have rails but would think they would be disconnected if Nea has lost its rail handling sidings. IIRC, Breeza was primarily used for storage of Sorghum and non wheat types.

  2. Rohan, I just caught up with this blog post. Those photos of the roofs of the station buildings will be very helpful when I eventually get around to doing the refreshment room/hotel.
    Excellent!

    Thanks,
